Win a FREE Photo Session

As mentioned in the Kanon article (and also on my blog below), I am going to run an interesting test. Since I so strongly believe that mega-pixels do not matter as much as people think they do, I am posting 8 images taken with 8 different cameras. The first person who correctly guesses which camera took which picture, will win a FREE photo session. That’s right, a professional photo shoot with me. Now, of course there have to be some rules, and so here they are:

1. To win, a person must email (photoDU@gmail.com) me a list that correctly identifies which camera took which image.

2. You must include your full name in the email. If you guess correctly but do not include your name, you still are not a winner.

3. You can try only once.

4. All 8 of the image-camera answers must be correct.

5. The first person to guess all 8 right-wins. Anyone who guesses right afterwards is not a winner.

6. This competition will run until end of April.

7. The winner will win a free 2 hour photo session of him/herself; 15 images will be fully edited; he/she will receive web size images; full size images will not be given away.

8. You cannot be a professional photographer to win.

Well, I hope I captured everything I need to. So, think you can tell the difference between a 39 mega-pixel camera and a 1.3 mp camera? Try it! Here are the cameras that were used to take these images:

A: 1.3 Mega-Pixels; Olympus D600L; price–around $50

B: 2 Mega-Pixels; Camera Phone; price–$200

C: 3.2 Mega-Pixels; Canon PowerShot A510; price–$100

D: 6.1 Mega-Pixels; Nikon D70 DSLR; price–$400 on ebay

E: 7.1 Mega-Pixels; Olympus Point and Shoot; price–$300

F: 12.8 Mega-Pixels; Canon 5D DSLR; price–$2,200

G: 39 Mega-Pixels; Hasselblad H2D-39 DSLR; price–$34,000

H: Film SLR Camera, with Fuji Reala 100 Film; price–$300

And here are the images (Special thanks to Joey Lawrence and Vitaly Druchinin, two of my favorite photographers, for providing some of these images):

Can’t wait to see who has the photographic EYE. The results, as well as the answers for which image was taken by which camera will be announced beginning of May. Good luck!
